Residential Environment Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Residential Environment Support Specialist to join our team at Brethren Care Village. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires a high level of physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. You will be responsible for cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces, following established policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all residents and staff. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will make a significant impact on our residents' quality of life.
Responsibilities
* Clean resident rooms, break rooms, nurse's stations, halls, offices, and other assigned areas with precision and efficiency.
* Perform daily tasks according to infection control and universal precaution policies and procedures.
* Respect residents' confidentiality and rights at all times.
* Follow departmental dress code policies and maintain a professional appearance.
* Demonstrate kindness and respect towards all residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* The ability to pass an activity certification program.
* A willingness to participate in ongoing training and education to improve skills and knowledge.
Work Environment
As a Residential Environment Support Specialist, you will work primarily indoors in well-lit and ventilated areas. However, you may occasionally be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be exposed to possible falls, odors, and injuries from equipment, as well as infectious waste, diseases, chemicals, and viruses such as Hepatitis B and AIDS. It is essential to take necessary precautions to protect yourself and others in the workplace.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
