Job Summary:

The Biomedical Equipment Specialist is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital. This includes installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing, and major and minor repairs. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of biomedical equipment commonly used in general care areas and be able to operate sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment
Conduct electrical safety inspections and performance testing
Analyze testing data and prepare reports as needed
Maintain a thorough understanding of biomedical equipment and its applications

Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent experience
3 years of experience in repair of biomedical equipment (preferred)
