Position Overview:

This safety-sensitive role involves collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to execute essential repairs and preventive maintenance across the property. The individual in this position will be responsible for the upkeep of residential units, communal areas, outdoor spaces, and equipment.

Adherence to designated office hours is required to ensure the smooth operation of community functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Maintenance: Maintain the property in a clean, orderly, and well-kept state. Conduct daily inspections of both interior and exterior areas to ensure standards are met.
  • Appliance Repair: Diagnose and resolve minor issues with heating and air conditioning systems, as well as address basic electrical and plumbing concerns.
  • Unit Preparation: Ensure that apartments are ready for market occupancy in line with company expectations, which may include some painting tasks.
  • Laundry Facilities: Uphold the maintenance of laundry areas according to company guidelines.
  • Pool Maintenance: If applicable, perform daily chemical checks and cleaning to comply with local regulations and company standards.
  • Customer Engagement: Strive to meet and exceed resident satisfaction levels and be available for on-call emergencies as directed by the Community Manager.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Pool certification is preferred, along with HVAC and boiler certifications where applicable.

Experience: A minimum of one year of maintenance experience in a residential setting is required.

Physical and Cognitive Abilities: This role involves frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting. The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 110 pounds is necessary, along with occasional squatting, reaching, and climbing.

Driving Requirements: If driving is part of the job, candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Successful candidates will undergo a background check, drug screening, and physical demand analysis as part of the hiring process.
