Healing Musician andor Instrumentalist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Healing Harpist andor Pianist to join our team at Music Ministry International. As a 1099 contractor, you will be responsible for providing musical services to support the spiritual and pastoral care of veterans at the Rocky Mountain VA Health Care System.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide musical services, including playing the harp and piano/keyboard instruments, to support the spiritual and pastoral care of veterans.
2. Play music in hospital common areas, medical units, and patient rooms to promote calm and spiritual wellness.
3. Support weekly Sunday Worship Services and other designated Worship Services.
4. Plan and prepare musical selections that support the weekly lessons and readings.
5. Provide musical selections for meditation times before and after services and at other times of meditation.
6. Be available as required and scheduled by the Chief of Chaplain Service or their designee.
7. Communicate specific non-availability timeframes to the Chaplain Service as soon as possible but not later than 3 days after being notified of the initial planning for an event.
8. Adapt to the worship styles and demands from different Chaplains.
9. Play harp music in Clinical wards and other locations around VA Rocky Mountain Main Chapel.
10. Play harp music in patient rooms as requested by Veterans and staff to provide opportunity for calm and promote whole health and holistic healing.
11. Be responsible for all costs for travel to and from the worksite.
12. Work closely with clergy, medical staff, and patients.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with and proficiency at playing music on the harp or piano/keyboard instruments.
• Ability to work closely with clergy, medical staff, and patients.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
