As an Environmental Service Specialist with us, you will play a critical role in ensuring every patient, associate and visitor has an exceptional experience. You will be responsible for providing a safe care environment for patients, and staff (visitors as appropriate to setting) within a specialty area (surgical services/perioperative suite, cath lab, endoscopy, etc.) achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide a safe care environment for patients, and staff (visitors as appropriate to setting) within a specialty area.
- Demonstrate the principles of cleaning, disinfection and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Operate necessary equipment/machines.
- Effectively use computers and mobile devices.
**Requirements:**
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to distinguish the differences between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection.
- Knowledge and skills in the use of power equipment, conventional and high-speed floor machines, carpet cleaning equipment, wet, dry and power vacuum equipment and push sweeper.
