About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery and cardiac telemetry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in cardiothoracic nursing with a minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Strong understanding of cardiac surgery procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, and post-aortic dissection repair
  • Experience working with chest tubes, temporary epicardial pacemakers, and post-TAVR patient care
  • Familiarity with medications such as Amio, insulin, dobutamine, nitro, milrinone, and diltiazem
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
