The Radiation Therapist PRN Position is responsible for administering ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescription of the Radiation Oncologist. This role is accountable for the simulation of patients in preparation of radiation therapy, basic patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with the prescription of the Radiation Oncologist.
Simulate patients in preparation of radiation therapy, providing basic patient care and education.
Verify treatment plans and ensure accurate documentation of treatment parameters, instructions, diagrams, photos, and billing information.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program is required.
ARRT and RT(T) certifications in radiation therapy and current license in state of practice are required if applicable.
Current BLS certification is required.

Work Environment:
This position is located at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and requires a variable schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift differentials are given for these periods.
