Job Summary
  • This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.
  • The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing and be passionate about delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Nursing Care: Ensure that all patients receive high-quality nursing care by following physician's orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies.
  2. Medication Administration: Administer medications (oral, s.q., I.M., or I.V.) as ordered by the doctor and according to facility policies.
  3. Leadership and Supervision: Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure effective teamwork.
  4. Collaboration with Physicians: Assist physicians with rounds as needed and drapes, remains with, and cares for patients during MD rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as necessary.
  5. Treatment Administration: Perform scheduled treatments and document them appropriately while maintaining infection control measures as necessary.
  6. Infection Control: Adhere to all regulations pertaining to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
  7. Quality Improvement: Assist with research related to the quality of nursing care as assigned.
  8. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records, orders, and assessments of new admissions and schedule patients' annual physicals with attending physicians.
Requirements:
  • A registered nurse graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • A current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
  • An ability to provide quality-nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certification yearly.
  • Able to attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
  • Able to supervise nursing assistants, assuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
  • A dependable, flexible, and cooperative individual able to work with all nursing personnel, other departments, and patients.
Salary and Benefits

$20,000 sign-on bonus

$62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience
