Job Summary

This full-time Critical Care Therapist position is available with mixed shifts and requires a strong foundation in respiratory therapy, including mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a patient-focused approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapy modalities as ordered by physicians and ensure accurate monitoring and documentation.
  • Respond to code blue situations and assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients.
  • Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment and provide clear communication with colleagues.
  • Enter all patient contacts into appropriate systems and perform equipment rounds.
Requirements

To be considered for this Critical Care Therapist role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from National Board Respiratory Care (NBRC), licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Respiratory Therapy Degree – AAS or BS.
  • One-year critical care experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Previous experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
