As a Care Manager at Sunrise Senior Living, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and services to a consistent group of residents and their families in our assisted living and reminiscence neighborhoods.

A Day in the Life of a Care Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

  • BUILDING MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS: Get to know your residents as individuals, understand their unique preferences and personalities, and provide assistance with activities of daily living.
  • NOTIFYING MANAGEMENT: Inform your supervisor of any changes in condition and recommend adjustments in the level of care and service.
  • ASSISTING WITH LIFE SKILLS: Help residents with life skills and other life-enriching activities as indicated on their individual profile.
  • PARTICIPATING IN DEVELOPMENT OF ISP: Collaborate with the community team to develop and update Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) for each resident.
  • ENSURING COMMUNITY COMPLIANCE: Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Dedication to serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent (may be required per state regulations).
  • In states where applicable, must maintain certifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
  • The ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the best interest of the residents.
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
