Job Title: Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse on our brand-new 8B Surgical Oncology unit. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and providing high-quality patient care to adult surgical oncology patients in a 24-private room setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect total nursing care to assigned patients
- Supervise assigned personnel and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Interpret and implement hospital and department policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
- 3+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
- 2 years of leadership experience or 2-4 years of experience in an acute care setting
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure in Nursing
- BLS certification
Working Conditions:
Works in a well-lighted and ventilated office/clinical setting, subject to frequent interruptions and long hours. May be required to work beyond normal working hours when requested to do so.
