Job Title: Technology Integration Specialist

Oak Hall School is seeking a highly skilled Technology Integration Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position that will play a critical role in supporting the school's mission to provide a world-class education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation, leadership, and support to teachers in the Lower, Middle, and Upper schools to integrate technology into their instructional practices.
  • Coordinate projects and initiatives related to digital learning and innovation, ensuring alignment with the school's strategic goals.
  • Lead the school-wide initiatives to facilitate data-driven decision-making, determining faculty and student device selection, classroom instructional needs, and overall school learning needs.
  • Develop digital learning standards and curriculum resources to support teachers in their instructional practices.
  • Partner with the Director of Teaching & Learning and the Director of Human Resources & Legal Compliance to ensure technology needs are met in onboarding new faculty and staff.
  • Collaborate with the IT department and Director of Teaching and Learning to plan and execute whole-school technology-based projects that advance the mission of Oak Hall School.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Learning Support to assist teachers in accessing a variety of digital tools to differentiate instruction and accommodate student needs.
  • Research and remain informed of current, new, and emerging technologies and their potential applications in education.
  • Coordinate trainings for all new and current students on educational technology needs, including trainings offered during Foundations or orientation at the start of the school year.
  • Create learning resources and training materials for teachers, families, students, and staff, including websites, tutorials, interactive guides, and programs that support teachers in integrating technology.
  • Plan and deliver professional development workshops and trainings for faculty in educational skills, applications, and best practices.
  • Ensure that systems are synchronized and/or compatible with other technologies that the school utilizes, and make recommendations for system changes or adaptations as needed.
  • Engage in performance testing of new technology to determine compatibility with existing systems and school needs.
  • Champion and showcase educational technology projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or technology-related field, required.
  • Extensive knowledge, experience, and successful implementation of instructional technology in a school setting, required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a teaching position, in an educational technology position, or a combination thereof or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of educational technology learning resources with evidence of effective practices for teaching and learning.
  • A team player with a creative and inclusive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute projects.
  • Demonstrated organizational and management abilities.
  • A high degree of professionalism, collegiality, and personal conduct, both in and outside of school.
  • Ability, willingness, and judgment to communicate thoroughly, accurately, and concisely with all constituents in the school community.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the vision and mission of the School.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Works in an environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
  • Regularly uses close and distance vision.
  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to visually and audibly locate students under their supervision.
  • Ability to actively circulate throughout the diverse campus environment.
  • Works primarily in a traditional climate-controlled classroom environment, occasionally in outside conditions including extreme heat.
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, reach, fine motor skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs.
