Accessible Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Wheelchair Van Driver to join our team at Global Medical Response Inc. As a vital member of our operations, you will provide exceptional transportation services to patients in need.
About the RoleThis part-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $16.50 per hour and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate weekday and weekend shifts. Our drivers play a crucial role in responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for transportation, ensuring timely and safe delivery of patients to their destinations.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Services: Operate wheelchair vans to transport patients safely and efficiently, using GPS navigation and standard radio transmission codes to ensure effective communication with dispatch teams.
- Logistics and Documentation: Clearly document trip information, adhering to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular mechanical checklists, report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager, and maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment for patients.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow drivers and operations teams, to ensure seamless patient care and transportation services.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A valid State Driver's License
- A High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- A current CPR card
- A driving record in compliance with company policy
- The ability to pass a Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
