About the Role

At Heartsworth Assisted Living, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting in the administration of medications as ordered by the attending physician.

Responsibilities

As a Certified Medication Aide, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician
• Notifying and reporting errors in medication administration
• Participating in the development and implementation of procedures to prevent medication errors
• Maintaining a friendly and productive working relationship with other members of the department of nursing

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Possess a high school education or its equivalent
• Be a licensed Certified Medication Aide with successful completion of a state-approved training program
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents
