Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at the Town of Jupiter Inlet Colony. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional support to our patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring a positive and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front desk clerical support, including appointment scheduling, patient referrals, and demographic data management.
- Interact with patients, staff, and visitors, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate patient referrals and admissions, collecting and verifying patient information.
- Route telephone calls to the appropriate party and ensure that patient demographic data are always current in all applicable systems.
- Coordinate patient referrals to external organizations and verify patient eligibility for services with insurance carriers.
- Obtain authorizations from insurance carriers and collect payments from patients where applicable.
- Ensure that all applicable forms are signed by patients and uploaded to patient records.
- Be a primary point of contact for patients and visitors' questions, providing answers directly or directing them to the right resource.
- File electronic and paper documents and perform varied special projects of an administrative nature.
- Work collaboratively with the Administrative Assistant to ensure all administrative duties are covered and provide coverage for the Administrative Assistant role when needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by supervisory staff or as outlined within the Clinical Manual and its amendments or interim changes.
- High School Diploma or Associates/Bachelors degree (related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree).
- At least two years of experience in a front desk/receptionist role is preferred.
- Experience in a front desk role of a busy healthcare clinic is desired.
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, even when interacting with distraught individuals.
- Must be computer-literate and have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and have an attention to detail.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
