Job Description

The Registered Nurse Charge Nurse Surgical at Intermountain Health plays a pivotal role in leading the surgical unit, overseeing patient care, and coordinating staff efforts.   • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, social, and psychological status.
  • Evaluate information acquired from interdisciplinary team members to inform patient care decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by directing the care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Education and Certification:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice (valid compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Unit-specific certifications as required (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.

Compensation
