**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Support Care Specialist to join our team in Griffin, TX. As a member of our team, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and overall well-being.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities* Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene and nutrition* Develop and implement personalized plans to promote independence and growth* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care and support* Maintain accurate records and documentation* Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge* Demonstrate patience, compassion, and understanding when interacting with participants and colleagues
**Requirements:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required* Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred* Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations* Reliable and responsible individual who prioritizes the needs of others
