Job Responsibilities
  • Speech Therapy Delivery: Assist in providing speech and language therapy services to PreK students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Implementation of Therapy Plans: Carry out therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of young learners.
  • Evaluations and Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with the supervising SLP to conduct evaluations and monitor student progress, making data-driven decisions to inform instruction.
  • Student Support: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support their speech and language development, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating effective communication with parents and teachers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A valid Massachusetts SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain) is essential for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is required.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not necessary. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their growth is crucial for delivering high-quality services that meet the unique needs of each student.
