Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Your primary responsibilities will include scheduling and canceling patient appointments, checking-in and checking-out patients, entering charges and payments, answering the telephone, verifying patient insurance and demographics, collecting co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances, and performing selected administrative duties. You may also be required to collect patient specimens, take patient histories and vital signs, prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, give injections, apply casts, splints, and dressings, prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization, and assist physician in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have one year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting. You must also possess Medical Assistant Certification (NCRMA certification/ABR--) or be willing to obtain it within 60 days of employment. Additionally, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
