Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activities Coordinator/Transportation Assistant to join our team at Garden View Assisted Living. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, facilitating resident-centered activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors, vendors, volunteers, and residents in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Covers the front desk area during the day and in times of need/absence, answering and screening incoming calls.
  • Routes calls and takes messages, as directed.
  • Collaborates with the Life Enrichment Coordinator to set up, supervise, and clean up for resident-centered activities/events.
  • Assists with bulletin board and Daily Reminders.
  • Facilitates and encourages family involvement.
  • Participates in after-hour activities/events as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Drives residents on outings and appointments as directed.
  • Maintains organized and detailed reporting of information.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal relations skills and ability to relate to a variety of people and personalities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College diploma or essential work-related skills preferred.
  • Current LA driver's license required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including periodic weekend duty.
  • Ability to meet Standards of Performance as outlined in the Garden View Assisted Living handbook.
