Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Trainee to join our team at the EDD office in Rancho Cordova. As a Financial Analyst Trainee, you will perform entry-level professional program accounting work related to Claims Processing and Benefit Payment Control activities. This includes fraud prevention and detection, establishment of overpayments, employer and claimant assistance, and maintenance of employer and claimant accounts.

You will make routine monetary eligibility determinations and adjustments as they relate to various Claims Processing and Benefit Payment control workload processes. You will utilize a variety of databases and analyze information obtained from federal, state, and departmental sources to determine the appropriate action regarding UI and Disability Insurance programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • No experience required, but prior accounting experience is desirable.
  • Ability to learn and apply accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work will be conducted at the EDD office located in Rancho Cordova and remotely. Free parking is available.
