Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply paint and coatings to aircraft surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish and adherence to Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Mask and tape aircraft parts to avoid overspray, sand primer, and blow and clean aircraft with thinner.
  • Wash the paint booth, apply all layers of paint, including top coat, and lay out stripe and design schemes.
  • Prep and scuff paint to get ready for trim, re-mask aircraft, and perform detail work.
  • Inspect completed paint jobs and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Paint mixing and paint matching, and effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with vo-tech school in paint or on-the-job experience preferred but not required.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not required.
  • Technician I: 0-2 years' experience as an automotive, commercial, RV, or aircraft painter.
  • Technician II: 2-4 years' experience as an automotive, commercial, RV, or aircraft painter.
  • Technician III: 4+ years' experience as an aircraft painter.
Working Conditions:

The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area, with occasional work in aircraft on the ramp.
