We offer a Hybrid Onsite/Remote position as an Outpatient Facility Coder at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. This role involves assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient charts of moderate to high complexity levels using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT, HCPCS and any other designated coding classification system in accordance with coding rules and regulations.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medical records documentation and be able to accurately assign diagnoses and procedures. They will also be skilled in abstracting and entering coded data and designated quality management data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to serve as a functional resource for entry-level coders and mentor/train other coders as needed. You will also be responsible for communicating documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues (discrepancies, physician queries, etc.) to the appropriate personnel for follow-up and resolution.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a minimum of two years technical coding experience that includes inpatient and/or outpatient experience.
