Job Summary

CBRE is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join its Corporate Development team in New York City. This role will provide legal expertise and guidance on mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and similar transactions.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with experience in running complex M&A transactions from inception to post-completion. They will be able to work closely with our corporate development and leadership teams to assess and mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the legal aspects of M&A and related activities
  • Provide legal counsel and support throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from a top-tier law school and member of the State Bar in good standing
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate law
  • Proven track record of running complex M&A transactions
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills
