PHP is seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join their team for a travel assignment in Fort Bragg, California. This 13-week contract offers an exciting opportunity to work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various medical imaging procedures using nuclear medicine technology. As a key member of the healthcare team, they will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing nuclear medicine procedures, including positron emission tomography (PET) scans and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans.
  • Operating and maintaining nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers.
  • Preparing patients for procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Collaborating with radiologists and physicians to interpret scan results and develop treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Registered (NMT).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
