Physician (Psychiatry) - Clinical Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician (Psychiatry) to join our team at the Department of Defense. As a clinical expert, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric medical care to a broad range of patients with both common and complex medical concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough bio-psycho-social assessments as appropriate for discipline.
- Provide treatment services, including inpatient services, consultation liaison services, partial hospitalization, day programs, emergency psychiatric services, tele-psychiatric services, and routine and intensive outpatient services.
- Evaluate care provided to patients at MTF, identify opportunities to change the care delivered, advise on difficult or complex cases, and make recommendations such as hospitalization or determining a service member's fitness for duty.
- Determine and provide mental health assessment of fitness and suitability for duty and deployments of service members based on psychiatric clinical assessment.
- A Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
- A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training.
- Successful completion of the required accredited residency training in the specialty of the position to be filled (Psychiatry) and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 5 years.
