Job Title: Store Manager Trainee

Job Summary: Sparks Group is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Store Manager Trainee. This role will provide the ideal candidate with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and expand their career in the retail industry.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure exceptional customer service

• Handle customer concerns and resolve them in a timely and professional manner

• Maintain store signage and product quality, ensuring a positive shopping experience

• Assist in hiring and training store personnel, including reviewing resumes and conducting interviews

• Prepare and manage weekly schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels

• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports

• Conduct store meetings and identify training opportunities

• Conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend promotions or terminations as necessary

• Achieve store payroll and total loss budgets

• Oversee product merchandising and maintain proper stock levels through effective inventory management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment

• Prior management experience is highly desirable

• Ability to travel to multiple locations within a 45-minute radius of the Greater Birmingham Area

• Ability to stock merchandise and lift up to 45 pounds
