Ultrasound Technologist PRN Job Summary

Under the direction of the Administrative Director and in conjunction with the Medical Director, performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed Ultrasound examinations for diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for patient care, comfort and completion of required procedures.
  • Assesses, treats, or cares for patients appropriately based on their age group (child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
  • Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients needs; possesses knowledge of growth and development; and has an understanding of the range of treatment needed for these patient groups.
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Current Certification as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Current BLS issued by American Heart Association.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound School.
  • Successful completion of an ARDMS approved training.
