Welding Specialist

PrideStaff - Charlotte is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join their team in Matthews, NC. As a key member of the metal fabrication department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on columns and beams, as well as related materials, during the steel fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up column/beam preparation according to job specifications
• Measuring punched holes with precision and accuracy
• Ordering materials from the supply room efficiently
• Cutting PVC drainpipe and installing it within columns
• Installing conduit within columns/beams when required
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Proficiently operating a MIG welding machine

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and provide consistent work
• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and welding
• Able to climb, bend, stoop, and squat safely
• Lift up to 75 pounds at times

Estimated Salary Range: $22-$24 per hour based on experience/skill level, guaranteed 40 hours a week with overtime expected.
