Aircraft Quality Assurance Specialist

Company OverviewSEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is a leading technology company specializing in the aerospace industry. Our client, a prominent player in the sector, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team in Hartford, CT.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all airworthiness quality requirements are met and documented in accordance with applicable regulations related to maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, and alteration of aircraft, engines, and components/parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance and a proven track record of ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections of aircraft, engines, parts, and components using precision tools and equipment according to regulatory requirements
* Perform weighing procedures in accordance with manufacturer's recommended practices and procedures
* Coordinate inspection activities in compliance with computer tracking maintenance programs (i.e., CAMPS, AVTRAC)
* Ensure all work packages and records of arrival, maintenance, and corrective actions performed are accurately documented
* Verify specialized customer (RED, RFE & SRPSA) and regulatory paperwork (FAA, FAR/CAA, etc.) is complete and required approvals have been obtained
* Research aircraft drawings and technical data (i.e., REO, ENICO, EO. DCN)
* Perform walk-around inspection of aircraft for release from maintenance
* Return aircraft to service after maintenance, ensuring it meets all airworthiness requirements
* Provide data to customers as requested
Qualifications
* Hold an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification
* Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in aircraft maintenance or substantiated equivalent experience
* Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in corporate/commercial jet maintenance
* Own a basic set of hand tools and demonstrate inventory and control of tools
* Be able to use various measuring and basic hand tools to interpret/operate test equipment
* Have working knowledge of FAA regulations, CAA, RSM/QCM, ADs, SBs, TCDS, etc.
* Possess working knowledge of return-to-service procedures
* Ability to train, coach, and mentor employees in performance of duties in areas of qualification
SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
