Nursing Administration Coordinator

The Bed Control Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the flow of patients through the facility. This involves assigning patients to beds based on availability, care needs, and patient type. The coordinator will also arrange for patient transfers or admissions as needed. Additionally, they may act as a liaison with scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels. This role requires extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The coordinator will perform a variety of tasks and may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient flow through the facility
- Assign patients to beds based on availability and care needs
- Arrange for patient transfers or admissions as needed
- Act as a liaison with scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Perform a variety of tasks and lead and direct the work of others
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type and perform computer data entry
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- On occasion, working overtime
- Flexibility to do rotating shifts
- Detailed oriented; ability to multi-task; possess good communication skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Knowledge of billing processes and insurance (preferred)
