LPN - ENT Surgery Office

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our ENT Surgery Office team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our providers in delivering high-quality services.
Job Summary:The LPN will be responsible for performing various tasks, including obtaining and recording patient vital signs, documenting patient history, and assisting with in-office procedures. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, and participating in diagnostic CLIA waived testing.
Responsibilities:- Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs
- Document components of patient history
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff
- Participate in in-office procedures under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider
- Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing
- Perform venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
- Prescription call-backs per scope of practice
- Prep patient's chart for pertinent clinical information
- Maintain inventory of supplies and keep patient examination rooms stocked
- High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
- Previous experience in a patient care setting - preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. You will also be required to lift, carry, and push/pull objects, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
