We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures with precision and accuracy
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and reducing anxiety
- Operate mammographic equipment, adjusting settings to achieve optimal results
- Practice radiation protection techniques to ensure patient safety
- Examine digital images for quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment and perform quality control testing to ensure compliance with regulations
- Process paperwork and data entry with attention to detail
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain affiliations
- 2+ years of experience in mammography
- ARRT certification
- Up-to-date CME credits
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
