Job Description:
The Cybersecurity Defender for Web Applications plays a pivotal role within the SOC of ConsultNet, working closely with Senior SIEM Administrators and developers to design and implement solutions that enhance visibility into security events. As a foundational member of the team, this individual is instrumental in safeguarding ConsultNet's web applications from malicious threats.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to foster secure coding practices
- Develop robust defenses for critical applications
- Respond to threats or attacks, and contribute to custom alerting use-cases tailored for public-facing applications

Requirements:
- 3+ years of IT security and network experience
- Proven application security experience
- Proficiency in security tools: Firewalls, Server and Network hardening, IDS/IPS
- Knowledge of Mac OS X and Linux operating systems
- 2+ years in a security-related information systems role
- 1+ years of TCP/IP experience
- PT Kill Chain experience
- Bash, Perl, or other scripting experience

Certifications:
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
- GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
- GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)

About Us:
ConsultNet offers a comprehensive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
