FinTrust Connect, a trusted partner of a well-established financial institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Benefits Strategist to lead the development and execution of employee benefits programs in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong strategic planning skills, experience in project management, and a comprehensive understanding of health and welfare plan compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and over 10 years of experience in benefits management, including significant leadership experience in a PEO environment. They should possess a certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation and a 2-15 Florida Health & Life Agent License. A proven track record of engaging executive-level client contacts and negotiating terms with insurance brokers and benefits providers is essential.

This opportunity offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office/2 days at home) in St. Petersburg, FL. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $115,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic benefits programs that align with client needs and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate terms with insurance brokers and benefits providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations such as COBRA and HIPAA.
  • Lead the benefits team, providing guidance and expertise in all matters related to employee benefits.
  • Utilize technology to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of benefits administration.
