Harbor Health Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team in providing quality behavioral health services to our frail elder population.

About You: As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will provide direct psychotherapy services to our PACE participants, collaborating with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Primary Care Providers, and Social Workers to ensure seamless treatment and evaluation of progress. Your passion for providing quality care to underserved populations will drive your success in this role.

About the Job:

  • Assess, treat, and evaluate behavioral health conditions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners for treatment and evaluation of progress.
  • Conduct ongoing care for individuals and groups, facilitating individual counseling sessions in accordance with the individualized treatment plan.
  • Conduct treatment sessions in Adult Day Center/clinic, community settings, and via telehealth.
  • Refer community resource needs to the Social Work team and make referrals as appropriate to PACE Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
  • Complete clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record for each client, including intake assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, termination summaries, and other documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Manage crisis intervention, triage, and stabilization as urgent clinical situations arise.
  • Maintain a volume target of 20-25 patients per week, including episodic/same-day appointments for crisis management.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the DSM-V and comfort with diagnosing.
  • Conduct periodic re-assessments with Social Workers and/or Psychiatric NPs to determine ongoing treatment plans, track number of sessions, and develop transition plans as completion of series nears.
  • Provide timely and relevant communications to the IDT, particularly surrounding transitions of care.
  • Manage own schedule in the Electronic Health Record, including booking appointments, submitting transportation requests, and cancelling/rescheduling as needed.
  • During emergency operations, be required to report to work or remain at work.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need a Master's level degree in a relevant discipline or above, current independent licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and at least 3 years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services. Experience working with high-risk populations, substance use disorders, and frail elders is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of community resources, and basic skills in Microsoft Office 365 are essential. Bilingual candidates with Spanish, Haitian Creole, and/or Portuguese language proficiency are desired.

Compensation and Benefits: We offer an excellent, comprehensive benefits package, including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability insurance, 403b Savings Plan, Generous Paid Time Off plus 11 additional Holidays, and much more. An estimated salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on location and experience, is available. A Sign On Bonus of $2,500 is offered, half on hire and remainder after 90 days in good standing. Former employees of HHSI are not eligible.
