The role of Executive Director, Innovation Banking involves originating and executing capital investments in US-based technology companies. This includes monitoring loan and credit portfolios, driving relationships with growth equity and venture capital firms, and developing strategies for capitalizing client and partner portfolios. Additionally, you'll mentor junior team members on executing new investments and loans.

To be successful in this position, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 5 years of progressively responsible experience in originating and leading underwriting of credit and lending transactions for venture- and growth equity-backed software companies. Specifically, you should have:

  • At least 5 years of experience with capital investments in the technology and venture industries;
  • Experience with managing underperforming investments and securities;
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior-level venture capital and growth equity investors, as well as CFOs and CEOs of portfolio companies;
  • Proficiency with loan origination software systems, data platforms including Pitchbook, Capital IQ, and CrunchBase, and loan pricing tools including PrecisionLender.

This role requires approximately 10% domestic and international travel. The job location is Menlo Park, CA, and the employment type is regular with a weekly hour requirement of 40.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $150,000-$200,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
