About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Student Health Insurance Specialist to join our team at UnitedHealthcare. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth processes throughout the insurance plan year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with university departments to ensure seamless administration of student health insurance plans.
  • Coordinate bid processes and maintain accurate records using our University Student Health Insurance Administration Tool.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, administrators, and healthcare center staff.
  • Responsible for resolving billing issues and educating students about plan design, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend on-campus events and meetings to promote the student health insurance plan.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with computer applications and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Reside within 50 miles of Athens, OH.
  • Available to work 8:00am - 5:00pm EST, Monday - Friday, with occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with public speaking/presenting information to customers.
  • Experience with medical terminology.
  • Student healthcare experience within a university setting.
  • Medical customer service experience.
  • Medical claims experience.
