Acupuncturist Specialist

Job Summary

At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, we are seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to join our Integrative Medicine program. As a licensed acupuncturist, you will provide direct patient care and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to manage symptoms and treatment side effects. This role requires highly-developed clinical skills and the ability to work with a diverse oncology population.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise in implementing delivery of outpatient acupuncture services to Fred Hutch's oncology patient population
• Use evidence-based acupuncture techniques to treat patient symptoms and treatment side effects
• Evaluate and document patient progress related to symptom management and services rendered
• Serve on the multi-disciplinary IM clinical care team
• Assist as needed in the development of IM education materials

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited acupuncture graduate degree program
• Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM)
• Must be a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Washington or meet criteria to obtain Washington State license
• 3+ years acupuncture experience, including demonstrated clinical experience with cancer and/or other critically ill populations
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong aptitude and enthusiasm for establishing patient rapport and delivering patient education
