As an Orientation & Mobility Specialist, you'll play a vital role in helping students navigate their surroundings and reach their full potential. We're looking for a highly skilled professional to join our team on a contract basis for the 2024-2025 school year.

- Grade/Age Levels: Pre-Kinder to High School
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic school district that values the importance of orientation and mobility services. As an Orientation & Mobility Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert guidance and support to students who require assistance navigating their environment.
You will be working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized plans that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping students build confidence and independence as they learn to move around safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement customized orientation and mobility plans for students
- Provide expert training and guidance to teachers and staff on orientation and mobility techniques
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure seamless communication and support
- Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong background in orientation and mobility, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with special needs. You should also possess a valid credential or license in orientation and mobility, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
