Job Title: Payroll Accountant III

Job Description

A global technology manufacturing company is seeking a Payroll Accountant III to manage payroll processes, ensuring a seamless link between HR and accounting. This role requires a deep understanding of both HR and accounting aspects of payroll.

Responsibilities:

* Manage payroll month-end close activities, booking journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, prepare monthly payroll packages and reporting

* Manage 401K/ESPP program

* Payroll taxes and filing

* Assist in payroll system integration of Ceridian payroll software

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience supporting public organizations with 3,000-5,000+ employees

* Proficient in full cycle, multi-state payroll

* Strong HR and accounting knowledge

* Familiarity with 401K and related benefits

* Familiar with employee stock option (ESPP)

* Solid grounding in accounting principles: US GAAP, debits/credits

* Experience with Oracle ERP

* Experience with Ceridian Payroll (highly preferred)

* Knowledge of Workday or similar systems, especially understanding integrations in large companies

Job Type: This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Months (could extend and/or convert)

Work Site: This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Milpitas, California and some days remote

Work Environment: Hybrid, 3 days onsite (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday)
