We are seeking a highly skilled Space Exploration Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and production of combustion devices for our next-generation rockets.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. You will work closely with our team of engineers to develop innovative solutions for the design, manufacturing, testing, and flying of engines and propulsion systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and development of combustion devices, including injectors, chambers, nozzles, thrusters, igniters, and related components
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design requirements, manufacturing processes, and test procedures
  • Ensuring the quality and reliability of combustion devices through testing and data analysis
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and reports

Requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, chemical, or physics preferred)
  • Strong technical fundamentals in fluids, thermodynamics, and structures
  • Experience in hardware design and/or development
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) experience
  • Demonstrated familiarity with data analysis and data processing

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of the design process, hardware build, and test
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
  • Experience with Creo (Pro/E) Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 10

Blue Origin offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $75,510.00-$105,714.00, depending on location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
