Overview:
Exeter seeks a skilled Custodial Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our facilities staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings.
Compensation Package:
We offer an attractive salary package, including a competitive hourly rate of $20, plus shift differential, totaling $24.50 per hour.
About the Role:
In this full-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the assigned buildings and surrounding areas provide comfort, safety, and a homelike atmosphere through effective cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance. Your duties will include dusting surfaces, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning and shampooing floors/carpets, as well as stripping, washing, and buffing floor areas.
Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain collegial relationships. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills are also essential, as is the ability to learn and apply new skills and techniques. You should possess basic computer skills and be willing to learn additional applications as needed. A high degree of organizational skills, with the ability to be flexible and multi-task with accuracy, is also required. Additionally, you must be able to follow verbal and written directions, maintain a professional demeanor and restraint at all times, including stressful situations.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, as is previous custodial experience. Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting is also beneficial. You will be required to remain standing for extended periods, go up and down flights of steps, lift and push heavy objects, stoop, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift. Ability to lift and transport a minimum of 50lbs without assistance is also necessary.
