Job Summary

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Augusta Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of patients who have served our great Nation.

The Augusta Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is a level 1a, medical school affiliated, two-division Medical Center that provides tertiary care in Medicine, Surgery, Specialty Care, Neurology, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Primary Care, Geriatrics, and a dedicated Spinal Cord Institute serving a multi-state catchment area.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing a full range of diagnostic/evaluation services, including PTSD evaluation and suicide risk assessment. You will also provide individual/group evidence-based treatments to Veterans and participate in a shared decision-making model of care.

The ideal candidate will have completed an Internship and PhD from an accredited APA or CPA program and have experience working with Veterans. You will be part of an interdisciplinary mental health team and will have the opportunity to participate in program evaluation and/or research activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic/evaluation services, including PTSD evaluation and suicide risk assessment
  • Provide individual/group evidence-based treatments to Veterans
  • Participate in a shared decision-making model of care
  • Develop and implement psychotherapeutic treatment plans for assigned caseloads
  • Deliver services both in person and via video technology

Work Schedule and Benefits

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Salary Range: $82,994 - $153,780 per year

Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Authorized
