Game Development Director

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in level design, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
This hybrid role is based in Los Angeles and offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, depending on experience. The current working hours are Monday to Friday, 11am-8pm Pacific Time (including one-hour break).
About the RoleAs a Senior Level Designer, you will be responsible for structuring game concepts, creating and fulfilling environments for each level, and overseeing the implementation and update of core logic components.
- Create complete and fascinating levels for both single-player and multiplayer experiences;
- Apply core map level building principles to Points of Interest inside an open-world map;
- Ensure quality and consistency throughout the project by correcting bugs and iterating based on peer assessment;
- Participate in peer reviews of additional game modes and levels.
We expect the successful candidate to have:
- 5+ years of experience in the game industry as a level designer;
- A shipped project in a level design role, preferably in the ARPG genre;
- Deep knowledge of game editor tools such as Radiant, Unreal, Unity, or Crytek Editors;
- A strong demonstrable portfolio of personal and/or professional work;
- A proactive, self-driven teammate with outstanding problem-solving abilities;
- Capability of communicating well both verbally and in writing.
Additional desirable qualifications include experience in shipping AAA games, large open-world games, and Unreal 4/5 projects.
