Nephrology Sales Director

Ardelyx, a commercial biopharmaceutical company, seeks an experienced Area Business Director to drive sales growth in the nephrology space. This role will focus on establishing strong relationships with healthcare providers and their staff, as well as affiliated dialysis centers.

Our portfolio includes two approved products in the United States, IBSRELA and XPHOZAH, and we have agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S.
Responsibilities:- Achieve sales objectives by cultivating direct customer-facing presence with nephrology healthcare providers and their staff.
- Maintain accountability, collaboration, compliance, and teamwork to deliver favorable results to healthcare professionals, their patients, and Ardelyx.
- Establish and implement effective sales plans that meet or exceed sales goals and corporate objectives.
- Collaborate with peers to optimize product opportunities through coordination and information sharing linked to nephrology practices and dialysis organizations.
- Work closely with Marketing, Patient Services, and Market Access teams to inform on territory experiences and dynamics.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical data, disease state, competitive products, and market access information to drive relevant messaging.
- Ensure all activities comply with laws, regulations, and Ardelyx compliance policies.
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry sales experience.
- Experience in specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales, nephrology preferred.
- Proven track record of success in achieving and/or outperforming sales goals.
- Product launch experience.
- Knowledge of patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution.
- Demonstrated experience in competitive markets.
- Ability to engage customers with a keen focus on their needs.
- Understanding of applicable laws and regulations governing pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
- Strong clinical and scientific acumen to communicate with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
- This position reports to a Zone Director.
- This position is field-based, requiring up to 40% travel.
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $145,000 to $190,000. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
