Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team in Acute Care. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients with speech and language disorders to identify treatment needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with departmental policies
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology
- Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the state of Wisconsin
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday. The Speech Therapist must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, lift up to 10 pounds from waist to overhead, and lift and carry up to 40 pounds at waist height a reasonable distance. The position also requires the ability to push/pull with 30 pounds of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person present.
The Speech Therapist will be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards as well as blood and body fluids, and must have the ability to wear protective clothing as needed. The position may require travel, and the Speech Therapist may be exposed to road and weather hazards.
