Job Overview

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I PRN to join our team at AdventHealth Gordon. This role will perform various laboratory procedures in assigned areas as licensed/certified. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analytical testing and be able to work efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned pre-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including general and analytical equipment maintenance, inventory control, and specimen collection.
  • Conduct all expected tests and analytical procedures for assigned department or work area efficiently and accurately.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and consistently adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Report results in accordance with established procedures and provide technical and support information related to laboratory testing.
Requirements
  • In licensure states, Laboratory Licensure in appropriate specialty(ies) for the department or location assignment.
  • In non-licensure states, must hold a national certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.
