Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team under the general supervision of the Budget Director. This role involves overall financial management of the Affiliation contract/budget, creation, monitoring, and reporting on operational expenditures and revenue. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining budget databases for PS and OTPS to facilitate daily work and projects
  • Performing data validation and reporting of routine downloads of system data into the databases
  • Assisting in creating EPIC reports and periodic data downloads for operational and financial analyses of various hospital services
  • Creating queries and templates to handle analysis of large quantities of data
  • Updating monthly profit and loss analysis of selected hospital initiatives and business plans
  • Analyzing other hospital service volume and financial performance as needed
  • Assisting with review and update changes to affiliation contracts
  • Working with other departments regarding their budgets (PS, OTPS, Affiliates, Capital)
  • Monitoring PS overtime, OTPS expenses, and ARF funding of assigned departments
  • Reviewing and approving requisitions and supporting departments as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with two years of experience in fiscal management or administration, including one year in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with three years of experience, including one year in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity, is also acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with knowledge of Information Systems used within the facility, such as PeopleSoft, Mainframe, and EPIC, will be preferred. Technical ability to develop Access or Excel databases to aid in budget administration tasks is also advantageous. Familiarity with basic Accounting principles, including General Ledger operations, is desirable.
