Job Summary:

As a key member of our team, the Cafe Cashier will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our patients, families, and visitors. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the cash register with accuracy and efficiency, handling cash and credit transactions with precision.
  • Count down monies before and after each shift to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with setup and serving at all stations, including the salad bar and grill location.
  • Rotate and date food items to ensure freshness and quality.
Requirements:

Education/Skills:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong math skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Work Experience:

Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided.

Mental Demands:

The ability to accurately perform repetitive tasks under time pressures and deal with customers in a friendly and helpful manner is essential for this role.
